Karen Stoffer 's love affair with drag racing started with ... a love affair.  Stoffer, rider of the GEICO Powersports Suzuki, grew up in Southern California , birthplace of drag racing, but it wasn't until she started dating the man who would become her husband, Gary Stoffer, that racing became a part of her life. Stoffer has been involved in Motorcycle Drag Racing since 1990 when she was selected as Rookie of the Year at the Los Angeles County Raceway.  The key to Stoffer's racing success is her burning desire to win and the setting of achievable goals. She has displayed a definite ability to compete in motorcycle Drag Racing's highest and most elite class - the National Hot Rod Association's (NHRA) Pro-Stock Motorcycle. Karen is among the first women to be licensed in Pro-Stock Motorcycle Racing.

The evidence is in her record of achievements, Class Champion 1991, 1992, 1994, and 1997 with an overall NHRA Division 7 Championship in 1993. She has held the AHDRA National Record and has competition experience in NHRA, AMA-Pro-Star, and NMRA with multiple wins in the very quick Pro-Modified class.  In 2008, Stoffer earned her first career No. 1 qualifier at her home track in Sonoma , CA . and in 2009, she finished in the Top 10 for a sixth consecutive year.

Back home again in Indiana, Top Fuel pro Lucas ready to impress home crowd

INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 31) -- Native Hoosier Morgan Lucas lives only a few minutes from O'Reilly Raceway Park so competing at this weekend's 56th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals presented by Lucas Oil will be an easy commute. But the sport's youngest nitro professional knows that racing at home also ramps up the pressure whenever he slips into the cockpit of his 8,000-horsepower GEICO Powersports/Lucas Oil dragster.
